MAKE  THIS
TRAIL  FLOURISH

If you'd like to see the Walking City Trail become a more established recreational destination in Boston, here are a couple of ways in which you can help us today...
Picture
#1: Go for a hike. The most important step toward putting the Walking City Trail on more maps is having lots of people hike it! Whether you plan on exploring a section or two of the trail, or completing the whole thing, you can help get the word out. Share pictures from the hike on your social media page(s) of choice. Use the hashtag #WalkingCityTrail. Follow the  Walking City Trail Instagram page at @WalkingCityTrail. Bring a friend or maybe a bunch of your coworkers out for a day hike along the trail. Contact your favorite local media outlets and encourage them to produce a story on the Walking City Trail. Or get in touch  directly to talk about your trail experience.

#2: Make a contribution. The maps and directions for the Walking City Trail will always remain 100% free. But it takes a lot of time and labor to make these free trail resources, and it costs money to host them online. If you'd like to  support the Walking City Trail, a  cash donation can go a long way toward covering web  maintenance  and trail improvement projects like updated guides and more. You can make a donation by clicking on the PayPal button below.

#3: Lend a hand in a Boston green space. An urban trail like the Walking City Trail is nothing without a thriving ecosystem of urban green spaces. If you'd like to help keep Boston's paths in solid shape for the next generations of urban hikers, please consider donating some time and labor to any of these  local organizations:

- Arnold Arboretum
- Boston Park Advocates
- Charles River Watershed Association
- City of Boston Urban Wilds Program
- Franklin Park Coalition
- The Emerald Necklace Conservancy
- The Esplanade Association
- Friends of Nira Rock
- Friends of the Public Garden
- Mass Audubon
- Massachusetts Volunteers in the Parks
- Neponset River Watershed Association
- The Rose Kennedy Greenway
- Southwest Corridor Park Conservancy
- The Trustees of Reservations
- WalkBoston
