PUBLIC TRANSIT
You can connect to each section of the Boston Boundless Trail by using the MBTA transit system. Below you'll find transit connections to each section trailhead. In the turn-by-turn directions for the trail, there are more transit connections listed for the "halfway" points near the middle of each trail section. In other places, you have to go rogue and venture off-trail to reach local buses or trains.

PARKING
Since the Boston Boundless Trail stretches into parts of Greater Boston with less public transit service, here are suggestions for where to look for unmetered, unrestricted parking near each section trailhead. (You can return to your car with a rideshare or public transit when you’ve finished your hike.) If you choose to park on the street, be sure to look carefully for signage indicating any rules; to avoid getting a ticket!
Boston Boundless Trail Section 1 trailhead, Long Wharf North (North End, Boston)
Parking garages along Atlantic Avenue (AKA the Rose Kennedy Greenway) will be your best bet, since curbside parking carries a lot of restrictions here.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 2 trailhead, Savin Hill Beach (Dorchester, Boston)
Try the parking lot at the Savin Hill Red Line station or the free lot at Savin Hill Beach, as the residential streets near Savin Hill have very limited parking for non-residents.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 3 trailhead, East Milton Square (Milton)
Residential streets to the west of East Milton Square and I-93 have a good amount of free parking.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 4 trailhead, Blue Hills Trailside Museum (Milton)
Lots of free parking is available in the lot by the museum and the trails that begin from there.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 5 trailhead, Riverdale Park (Dedham)
Look for parking spaces on residential streets near Riverdale Park, on the Dedham side of the river.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 6 trailhead, Waban station (Newton)
Certain residential streets near Waban station, such as Windsor Road, offer free parking.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 7 trailhead, Oak Square (Brighton, Boston)
Unrestricted parking near the square is available on parts of Washington Street.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 8 trailhead, Davis Square (Somerville)
It’s very difficult to park here for more than a couple of hours. Our advice: Park your car in the garage at nearby Alewife station and then take the Red Line one stop to Davis station.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 9 trailhead, Bunker Hill Monument (Charlestown, Boston)
Once again, this is really tough area for finding unrestricted parking. There are paid garages along the nearby Charlestown Navy Yard waterfront. You can also park in a garage along Atlantic Avenue in Boston’s North End and take the Orange Line from Haymarket station to Community College station.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 10 trailhead, Chelsea Square (Chelsea)
The maze of residential streets near Chelsea Square is usually a decent option for parking.
Boston Boundless Trail Section 11 trailhead, Revere Beach (Revere)
You can often find parking on residential streets west of Revere Beach, though it can get competitive during the summer, when the beach is at its most bustling.
Boston Boundless Trail: Section 12 trailhead, Beachmont station (Revere)
Residential streets in the adjacent Beachmont neighborhood are a good bet. We don’t advise parking in the lot at Belle Isle Marsh, as the road into the marsh is gated and is subject to being closed.
