On long distance trails like the Bay Circuit Trail or the New England Trail, hikers who complete the whole trail can earn a commemorative pin or patch for their effort. And since completing the Walking City Trail is a sizeable feat in itself, we felt it was time to roll out an official earn-a-patch program for the WCT.
Here’s how it works. Once you’ve finished the entire Walking City Trail (over many days, in a single day, whatever!) you can drop us a line and let us know about your success, and we’ll send you one of the trail patches pictured here. This program was created in 2024 and the patch supply is limited, so two things. #1: Please only submit a patch form if you truly finished the WCT, since this program is running on the urban hiker honor system. #2: Once your patch arrives in the mail, wear it proudly so that other folks can marvel at your achievement and consider earning one too.
Oh, and for those of you working away at the City On The Hills Trail, check back here later this year.
